Most performance audits are PageSpeed screenshots stapled to a list of generic recommendations. That's not what we do. A real audit answers three questions: how slow is your site for real users, why specifically, and what's the highest-leverage thing to fix first given your budget. Without those answers, optimisation projects waste money on the wrong things.

We start with field data — Core Web Vitals from real Chrome users in CrUX, broken down by template, device and connection. That tells us which pages are dragging your origin average down and what the actual user experience is, not what one machine on fibre sees in Lighthouse. Then we layer in lab measurements (Lighthouse on mobile and desktop, WebPageTest from London, New York and Sydney) to diagnose specific causes.

We audit the full stack, not just the front-end. Hosting and PHP version. Web server (NGINX, Apache, LiteSpeed) and configuration. Database setup and slow query logs. Caching layers — server, plugin, object, CDN. Image pipeline. Plugin list reviewed for known performance offenders. Third-party scripts profiled for main-thread blocking. Theme code reviewed for common issues. Each finding is scored on impact (how much faster the fix will make the site) and effort (time to implement, risk of breaking things).

The deliverable is a 15–25 page PDF report plus a 30-minute walkthrough. You get prioritised recommendations, expected outcomes, and time and cost estimates for each. If you want us to implement, the audit fee is fully credited against the first project. If you want to take the report to another developer, that's fine too — it's written to be actionable by any competent engineer.
