The challenge
An ageing template site running on a slow shared host. Mobile PageSpeed score of 24. New-patient enquiry form buried two clicks deep. No treatment pages — every patient landed on the homepage and had to dig.
Practice owner wanted a modern site that ranked for 'invisalign Bournemouth', 'composite bonding Bournemouth' and 'emergency dentist Bournemouth' — and that booked patients directly into the diary without phone tag.
What we did
- Custom design: Modern, calm, GDC-compliant design with real practice photography and clear treatment navigation.
- Treatment SEO pages: Dedicated pages for Invisalign, composite bonding, implants, hygiene and emergency — each targeting '[treatment] Bournemouth' search intent.
- Integrated booking: Dentally diary connected via API so patients book directly into available slots. SMS and email confirmations automated.
- Local SEO foundation: Google Business Profile rebuilt, local citations cleaned, review-generation workflow added to post-appointment emails.
- Speed: Migrated to managed hosting with CDN, modern image formats and minimal JavaScript. Mobile PageSpeed went from 24 to 96.
